There are many lifestyle factors to consider when moving into a new home. Suitable amenities located near a property are significant things to evaluate during the decision process – this includes amenities for any four-legged family members as well! In-home considerations

Barking is going to happen; however, this becomes more of an issue when you’re living in a denser environment like Central Edmonton. People are going to be living closer to you, therefore making them much more susceptible to any noise. You’ll need to be more mindful of any disruptive sounds you and…

Whether you're spending your Thursday evening grabbing a bite at the numerous food trucks surrounding the 124th street farmers' market, or you're skipping Friday drinks in favour of some good conversation and familiar faces at the downtown night market, Edmonton has no shortage of local vendors and artisans who live by the slogan: "You make it, you bake it, you grow it, you sell it."

Take a friend or catch up on some "me" time at any one of these local favouites.

I'd love to hear which market is your favourite. Find me on Twitter and Facebook, or call me, Chris Proctor, at 780-709-0811, and perhaps we can find your dream…

Voted Edmonton’s second best neighbourhood by Avenue Magazine, Oliver is one of the oldest residential neighbourhoods in the city, and with more than 19,000 residents, it is also Edmonton’s most densely populated neighbourhood.

Early on in its development, Oliver was considered the city’s “West End,” but was later renamed after pioneer citizen, Frank Oliver. As Edmonton expanded, the neighbourhood of Oliver underwent significant redevelopment. Today, it is well-known for its diversity, vibrancy, and pedestrian-friendly environment, and is also a relatively young neighbourhood, with 20 to 29 making up its largest demographic (29%).

According to the city’s Oliver Area Redevelopment Plan, over the next 10 to 15 years,…

Our first infographic "Six hidden gems in Edmonton's ever-growing coffee scene" was such a huge hit with local Edmontonians looking for hidden coffee gems around the city that we decided to make a second version. As I said in the first one, one of the telltale signs of a bustling city is its coffee scene, and the amount of locally sourced, fantastic coffee shops is rapidly expanding in Edmonton. Plus, the excitement around these new shops, and the encouragement from people who saw my first infographic, is great to see.

So here is the second edition! Enjoy!

If you’re in the market for a home that’s nestled within a neighbourhood bursting with distinctive character and culture, then look no further than Strathcona. This southside community offers a central location that’s perfect for homebuyers who desire quick and easy access to the downtown core, but also crave the characteristics of a mature neighbourhood. Strathcona is known for its world-class festivals that take place year-round, as well as its close proximity to the University of Alberta grounds; however, its balance of both urban qualities and natural elements is what makes the community so attractive. Within a five minute walk, you can find yourself in either North America's largest urban parkland, the River Valley, or sipping a beverage on a…

Two weeks ago I took a look at the real estate market in Edmonton, and there were some very clear month-to-month seasonal improvements moving into spring. Just recently, the Canadian dollar rose back up to .77 cents, which is an all-time high for the year, inflation rate has slowed to 1.7%, and oil is trading back above $40, it's highest since early December. All and all, 2016 is shaping up to be a good year, and a great time to buy a home! So, for your convenience, here's a quick glimpse of the city, and the current homes I have listed, all of which you can view on my featured listings, or by hovering over each star, and then clicking the link.
