A Place to Build a Long-term Home

Holyrood is located south of the North Saskatchewan River. Unlike other nearby boroughs that sit right across the water from the downtown core, however, it has a more stable population. People who live here seek quietude, and after finding it, they're prone to stick around for a while. 

Fortunately, there are ample amenities to keep locals interested in this part of Edmonton. From straight-shot trips to the Muttart Conservatory to longer treks to the riverside parks and museums downtown, this neighbourhood is the definition of accessible. Few streets cut all the way through, and all but a fraction of the space is zoned as low- or medium-density residential land, so there's very little chance of facing chronic congestion or suddenly finding oneself living in the perpetual shadow of some imposing high-rise neighbour.

It's Easy to Stay Occupied in This Community

Although there's not much by way of commerce in Holyrood itself, there's plenty to do just around the corner. Many residents can walk to the massive Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre in minutes, and even further south lie casinos, industrial parks and abundant career opportunities.

We recently had the opportunity to relocate to Edmonton from Halifax. We only had a limited amount of time to find a place to live and not knowing the city or the real estate market, we asked for a referral from a colleague who also recently relocated here.
