There are many different options if you’re looking for a townhome in Edmonton. Townhouses are usually connected side by side, reminiscent of European row houses. Due to the decreased possibility of noise transfer, townhomes that only share one wall with a neighbour are generally the most desirable.

When you buy a townhome, you usually just own the inside of the building. So, any repairs that are required to the inside of the building fall to the owner while the outside of the building is the responsibility of the property association which collects a monthly strata fee. Yard maintenance is also the responsibility of the property association. Owning a townhouse in Edmonton is a great option for anyone who wants to own a home in the community but does not have the time to upkeep a yard in addition to a house.

Duplexes are great first homes for Edmonton residents as well as being good investment properties for buyers looking to have a convenient rental opportunity.
