Buena Vista residents have easy access to shopping via Laurier Heights Shopping Centre, which is just adjacent to the neighbourhood; nearby Buena Vista Road gives access to the Edmonton Valley Zoo and both Laurier and Buena Vista Parks. Active residents of this neighbourhood will appreciate the footbridge access to Hawrelak Park just on the northeast side of the community.
